🚨 FORMER MONTGOMERY COUNTY DEPUTY ARRESTED 👮 Former Montgomery County Pct. 3 Constable Deputy Louis Norman has been fired and arrested. ⛔️ Investigators say he misused law-enforcement databases for personal reasons. According to public reports, the complaint came from a former girlfriend. Investigators allege Norman accessed NCIC/TCIC information — police-only systems — for non-law-enforcement purposes. Police databases aren’t toys. They’re not for curiosity, personal disputes, or keeping tabs on people. If investigators are right and those systems were accessed because of a personal relationship, it’s just ANOTHER in a rapidly growing list of abuses of Rights by those who swore an Oath to protect them. I want to know: How many searches were run? Who was searched? Who audits those searches? How often are improper database hits caught? And what happens when they are? Credit where it’s due: Pct. 3 says they placed him on leave, referred it out, cooperated with MCSO and the DA’s Public Integrity Unit, and terminated him once criminal charges were moving. But a bigger issue remains: Government databases are not personal surveillance tools. They are not for exes. They are not for curiosity. They are not for jealousy. They are not for leverage. When the state gives someone access to private information, there’s trust. When that trust is broken for any reason, the relationship suffers. When it’s done for personal reasons, the relationship MUST END. Presumption of innocence applies. But public trust requires public accountability! #Corruption #watch #texas #abuse #accountability
